Application of rules at the project level, common to all exports of the project

The project rules will be executed first, along with the channel export rules of that project, executed subsequently to the project rules. The configuration of the rules is available in the left menu item 'Rules' and allows you to view all the rules contained in the general project configuration.

Simple use case to understand the general project rules: You have a Connecteed project that imports a product feed from a specific supplier, feeding your project database. At the end of the import, you will have a total of products acquired from the supplier with VAT-exempt prices. In this specific case, your need is to export these products to 5 marketplaces and, in addition, export a CSV list including markup for all your agents in the territory. You will therefore need to provide 6 outbound channels (5 marketplaces and 1 CSV link). Since you are not authorized to resell SONY products, you will need to exclude them from your exports. Furthermore, for each of the six channels, you will need to apply a 22% VAT markup and then operate the percentage markups (your sales margin) customizing this percentage for each channel. The VAT rule (price * 1.22) can then be abstracted from the individual channels and positioned at the level of 'general project rule', so that the individual channels can apply this rule upstream, before executing the custom rules of each channel. The advantage of abstracting this rule will not only be to generate fewer rules, but also to be able to make a subsequent possible modification to the VAT value in one place, instead of modifying 6 identical rules in the individual export channels.
